Catching you up to speed

Here's what's been going on lately....

1. Adam came to visit. I don't think I ever mentioned that. I'll try to post those pictures sometime and do a post about specifically that.

2. My sump pump broke and my basement flooded. Twice. It led me to meet my friend Tara's husband Josh (soaking wet, no bra, unbrushed teeth) and to meet a really nice plumber at 0300. Surely that's now taken care of.

3. Because (in my life at least) when it rains it pours, my lawnmower also broke. It has since been repaired and used.

4. Life and love is neither fair, nor easy.

5. Several of us from work have decided to start going to these free dinners where either a medication or topic is discussed. Free food at fancy places? Yes please. So far we've been to Ruth's Chris and in a few weeks we're going to Z's Oyster Bar. Yummy!

6. I L-O-V-E Mexican food. (Just in case you forgot)

7. I have to recertify my ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) this Friday. I hate studying for this!! I had to do the computerized version since the class was full. It is much more complicated and picky than if I were doing it with a real person and I do NOT like it. Proof positive that online learning would NOT be for me!! Solid confirmation that higher learning is not something I am at all interested in! You know, until it's free when I'm 60 (or is it 65) and I can take tons of history classes, and maybe even a math class or two.

8. I am ready for a vacation.

9. I would never have watched it if I weren't at work, but it was kind of fun to watch Prince William get married. The hats were crazy, the pomp and circumstance ridiculous, and the bride beautiful. I very much remember going through Nanny's magazines and cutting out pictures of William and Harry and the rest of the royal family and making a collage out of them. I'm not sure why we did that, but always did think it was pretty cool a prince was just a couple of months older than me.

10. Speaking of old, I felt super old the other day when I read an article saying that Ace Venture Pet Detective came out SEVENTEEN years ago. Ouch.

11. I have a terrible case of the lazies. I have got to snap this habit because my house is a wreck and my "to do" list is currently double my height. It's also effected my workouts and that's something that I (or my waistline) can't afford.

12. I can't really think of anything else exciting, but couldn't end on 11. So I guess #12 can be I'm still OCD about certain things! Ha.

So from here on out, I'll try to do better about updating!
