This week in Kelly's Tour of Homes is the dining room. Be sure to check of her blog for literally hundreds of other dining rooms, plus she's really engaging and has a cute little girl that she posts lots of picture of. I'll have to use the picture I used during the kitchen post because currently my old living room furniture is in my dining room. This is driving me crazy. Bonkers. But it's not worth taking them to the basement just to give them to somebody in the coming weeks. I need some suggestions as to what to do with these windows as far as treatments are concerned. I'd like to do something with them seeing as how I've lived in my house for over three years and haven't bothered to mess with them found what do put there. What do you think? I could use some help here.
Here is the other set of windows in the dining room. I really like these window treatments. They were ones I didn't have to think about because it was written in the contract that the previous owner would leave them here for me. Look closely and you can see the top of the old couch. Ugh. I really hate having things where they shouldn't be.
If you've read my other post about my house (Guest Rooms, Kitchen), surely you realize by now that my Aunt Martha is super insanely crafty. She made this for me one Christmas with leaves and flowers she found while she and Jim spent some months at the Grand Canyon. I love it and hope one day to be half as crafty as she is.

This was a housewarming gift from my sister. The flowers match the walls really well and I think she got a super great deal on it at a going out of business sale. Sweet!

I also got this as a housewarming gift from some friends. If you can't tell is says "Work as if you don't need the money. Love as if you've never been hurt. Dance as if no one is watching". Stellar advice, even though the middle one proves difficult.

This is another special thing in my house. When my Nanny died, my Aunt Martha gave all the grand kids some of her scarves and handkerchiefs. I was thinking about them one day a year or so ago and realized this one would match my dining room. So, I framed it and having it hanging in the house. I have another one I want to frame and put in the bedroom (Mom do you still have that? What about that note from Great Aunt Mary I wanted copied so I could frame it? And yes, I'm doing a personal note smack in the middle of my blog). You know, I never realized until I decided to go through my house room by room how much Aunt Martha has done for me and my house. Many thanks if you're reading this!
